Sail from the UK into the Arctic Circle in never-ending daylight on this epic 16-day cruise which includes Bergen and the beautiful Norwegian coast, a cultural break in Copenhagen and an exclusive tour of Hamlet’s castle

Midsummer is the best time to experience the beauty of the Nordic countries. The 'Midnight Sun' is mesmerising and the long, light days are when flowers bloom, rivers fill with fish and giant waterfalls cascade towards the ocean, creating a picture-perfect setting. Even as far south as Bergen, you can experience 19 hours of daylight and North of the Arctic Circle you'll experience 24.

This unique cruise from specialist operator Voyages to Antiquity, is a new voyage for the excellent small ship MV Aegean Odyssey. With an average of just 350 passengers, she is small enough to sail into rivers, fjords and more authentic ports that the larger cruise ships simply cannot access. Service is more personal, but the ship is large enough to offer excellent amenities, including a choice of fine dining, lounges and bars, as well as a relaxing spa centre and well-stocked library.

You'll travel from Tilbury, through British waters into the Arctic Circle at the height of summer with a stop at Lerwick in the Shetland Islands. You'll then spend solstice in the world heritage port of Bergen and explore the peerlessly beautiful Norwegian coast. You will then sail into the remote waters of the North Cape, enjoying the gleam of the midnight sun on Honningsvåg and the striking landscapes at the very top of Europe. Your return journey south is via the traditional wooden houses of Tromsø, the historic capital of Trondheim, and the visual drama of Gerainger, one of the country's most spectacular fjords. Your journey ends in Copenhagen, the Danish capital and one of Europe's great city breaks, where you will finish your trip with an exclusive event at the UNESCO World Heritage site of Kronborg Castle, the dramatic setting for Hamlet.
